Alan is the Founder and Managing Partner of Kendal, leading the firm’s business operations and advising clients on some of their most complex and high-stakes mandates.
He specialises in litigation, disputes, crisis, policy change and wider reputation-sensitive matters. Over a 20 year career, Alan has worked across more than 40 jurisdictions, advising governments, Fortune 500 boards and executives, family offices, global campaigns and sports organisations on issues where legal, political and reputational risk intersect.
Some of his recent client experience includes leading an EU-wide policy change programme involving governments and major corporates; directing communications around a decade-long Serious Fraud Office investigation; defending a leading auditing firm across multiple regulatory and legal matters; and advising a high-profile organisation through an inquiry into historic allegations of misconduct.
Alan began his career in the NHS and investigative journalism, and holds an MSc in Public Policy from University College London. He brings a rare combination of political judgment, communications instinct and international experience to matters where the stakes are unusually high.
