Alan Morgan – Managing Partner

Alan leads the Disputes and Reputation Management practices, providing strategic insight and management of reputation enhancing campaigns for clients across the world.

Alan has a wealth of experience in managing and responding to a wide range of high-profile and complex crisis situations.

Often working closely with law firms and other advisers, Alan designs long term strategies, guaranteeing high quality advice, as well as managing issues and crises as they arise, ensuring consistently impactful media and stakeholder outreach to global audiences.

Alan has a strong international perspective and has delivered cross border mandates across most key geographies including the E.U, U.S, CIS, Africa and the Gulf.

Ben Lock – Managing Partner

Ben leads Kendal’s International Affairs team and provides high-level strategic communications and advocacy consultancy to clients looking to build, enhance and protect reputations across global markets.

Previously Ben established the International Affairs practice for the largest communications agency in the world where he advised a mix of private sector, NGOs, government agencies and multilateral organisations.

He has a broad sector focus covering technology, financial and professional services, energy, pharmaceuticals, media as well as civil society organisations.

Anne Spackman

Anne has worked at the very highest levels of media, education and not-for-profit sectors for a generation.

Over a 30-year career in journalism, Anne held a variety of senior roles, including as Editor-in-Chief of Times Online and Managing Editor of The Times newspaper. An expert in digital transformation, Anne developed and launched new websites for both The Times and Sunday Times during her tenure.

When she left journalism in 2013, Anne moved into the not-for-profit sector, where she served for six years as Chief Executive of Career Ready, a charity aimed at improving social mobility across the UK. She is currently Chair of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, a dynamic Multi-Academy Trust, and has held a number of other Board positions including at The Times Newspapers Ltd. Anne was awarded an OBE for services to charity in 2002.

Edward Bickham

Edward is a Senior Advisor on ESG, license to operate and investor due diligence in the energy and mining sectors.

His career includes being Special Adviser to the British Foreign Secretary during the first Gulf War, the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the negotiation of the Maastricht Treaty.  He was also previously MD of Public and Corporate Affairs and Deputy Chair of Hill & Knowlton and was then EVP External Affairs of Anglo American for ten years.

He is a former Chair of the Institute for Business Ethics and a Trustee and Chair of the Programme Committee of Care International UK.

Dr. Sean McFate is a globally recognised foreign policy expert, author and novelist.

He is a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and a professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Sean’s distinguished career began in the U.S. military before moving across to the private sector, where he held a number of roles across the fields of defence and political risk.

He is also the author of several bestselling books on foreign policy and has also won praise for novels based on his own military experiences.
